The renowned Bhojpuri actor Brijesh Tripathi, who was particularly famous for his role in Gharwali Baharwali, has passed away due to a heart attack.

Tragic news has come of the death of veteran Bhojpuri actor Brijesh Tripathi. According to India TV, he had been suffering from dengue two weeks before and was receiving treatment at a hospital in Meerut. On returning to Mumbai, he experienced a heart attack last night and when brought to the hospital, medical staff declared him dead. His family lives in Mumbai and his funeral rites will be carried out today.

 He had been a part of the film industry for nearly fifty years, debuting with Saiya Tohare Kaaran in 1979 and his first Hindi movie was Taxi Chor in 1980. Before entering the Bhojpuri industry, he was connected to Bollywood, and he has been featured in numerous TV series. He was also in many films such as Hamar Bodyguard Shiva, Driver Raja, Piya Chandani, Ram Krishna Bajrangi and Janta Darbar. Brijesh Tripathi acted alongside Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rajinikanth, Ravi Kishan, Dharmendra and Vinod Khanna. 

He had done over 250 films in Bollywood and had been aided in entering the film world by his friend. His family had always been supportive of him. His favorite actor was Pawan Singh and he was devoted to contributing to the Bhojpuri industry. He was closely acquainted with both the eras of Bhojpuri film industry and had worked with a variety of people such as Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, Dinesh Lal Yadav, Pawan Singh and Khesari Lal Yadav. His sudden passing has brought a wave of sorrow to the industry. Speaking on his passing, film actor and Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan said, “We had done around 100 movies with Brijesh Tripathi ji and his death marks the passing of an era from the Bhojpuri film industry. May God honor his virtuous soul with the highest glory in heaven”.
